We are rewarding your generous support of Kickin’ Parkinson’s with a year off!
With the help of an amazing Executive Committee, 100 sponsors, over 30 outstanding restaurants, 50 community partners, numerous volunteers and over 700 guests annually, we have become one of the largest and most successful fundraisers in the region and have donated over $1.5 million dollars as a Team Fox in support of the Michael J. Fox Foundation. The Foundation has invested over $700 million towards a cure. Our efforts and your generous participation for the past four years have placed us as a top 5 Team Fox, out of almost 5,000 teams nationally. We are proud of this partnership with the Foundation as well as the partnership with you, our loyal contributors.
We could not have done it without you – our committee, friends, sponsors, restaurants, partners and auction donors. From our Presenting Sponsor, Ken and Maci Matherne of Global Wildlife Foundation who have donated $500,000, to our individual ticket buyer, you have each contributed to the success of our Team Fox as well as to unprecedented progress in research and medical therapies for a cure of Parkinson’s.
Hosting our annual event fundraiser takes much time and effort by many people. It is with a collective Executive Committee that we decide to forgo the “Kickin’ Party” in 2018, but we will be back on October 17, 2019. Please save the date and let us know that you are in for 2019! We would love your support next year as an amazing sponsor, individual ticket purchaser, restaurant partner, auction item donor, or as a participant in the Crescent City Classic with us. We promise another first class Kickin’ Party!
We take this opportunity to pause, reflect and express our thanks and gratitude to you, our team member, for being part of such an important effort. You have helped drive scientific discoveries, move drug therapies to the marketplace and show people with PD that you care.
See you in 2019…October 17th!
Penny and Quentin Dastugue

Thank you for your willingness to consider a silent auction donation to Kickin’ Parkinson’s in support of the Michael J. Fox Foundation. We are gearing up for our 8th Annual Kickin’ Parkinson’s event, to be held Thursday, October 19th at Stone Creek Club and Spa in Covington, and I hope you will join us as we continue our fight to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Our organization has raised over $1 million to date and last year’s event was attended by over 700 guests. We expect this year’s evening to be even bigger and better! The night will showcase live music by Bag of Donuts, premium bars and specialty drinks, and food by over 25 of our finest local restaurants. One of the most prominent features of our event will be the silent auction, and I am hoping you will consider donating an item to help in our cause.
